2. What we process and why
When you contact us
If you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive what you send: your name, contact details, company, vehicle and project details, and any files.
- Purpose: to answer your inquiry, prepare a quote, carry out the work and support you afterwards.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract and performing the contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Where you contact us on behalf of a company, our legitimate interest in dealing with business customers (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Invoices and accounting records
- Purpose: to meet our accounting and tax obligations.
- Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
Website statistics
When a page loads, it tells our server which page you opened and which page linked to it. From the request your browser sends anyway, our server works out your browser and device type and stores your IP address with the last part removed. Your full IP address is used only for a moment to create a one-way code for counting visitors and is not stored. We don't use cookies for this and we don't read anything else from your device.
- Purpose: to understand how the website is used.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time (see section 7).
Delivering the website
To send pages, images and videos to your browser, our web host, Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) and Bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia) process your IP address and the request your browser makes. Cloudflare sits in front of our server: it passes requests on, keeps copies of files so pages load faster, and filters attacks. We don't use Cloudflare's analytics on this website.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in delivering a working and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
You don't have to give us any personal data to read this website. If you want a quote or a project, we need your contact and project details to provide it.
3. Who receives your data
- Our web host, Cloudflare and Bunny.net, to deliver the website.
- Your and our email providers, and WhatsApp (Meta) if you choose to message us there.
- Tax authorities and other public bodies, only where the law requires it.
We don't sell personal data and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Data processed outside the EU
We are based in China, and the European Commission has not decided that China offers an adequate level of data protection. When you send us your details, they are processed in China. We do this because it is necessary to answer your inquiry and carry out the contract you ask for (Art. 49(1)(b) and (c)).
Cloudflare may process connection data in the USA. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as adequate (Art. 45).
5. How long we keep it
- Inquiries that don't lead to a project: deleted 12 months after our last contact.
- Project messages and files: for as long as we work together, then for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
- Website statistics: up to 120 days, then deleted.
6. Automated decisions
We don't make decisions about you by automated means or profiling.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15);
- have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17);
- have its use restricted (Art. 18);
- receive it in a common format or have it sent to someone else (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including website statistics (Art. 21).
Email [email protected]. We reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work.
8. Customer portal
The customer portal at wrq-tuningservice.com is a separate website with its own privacy information.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top.
