This guide explains why Mercedes AMG CPC projects should start with CPC_NG generation review and ECU + TCU + CPC control split.

Control Split

The target behavior may not belong to CPC only.

ECU

  • Driver demand, boost, fuel, ignition and protection.
  • Reviewed against logs, hardware and fuel.
  • Must align with TCU and CPC torque logic.

TCU

  • 9G shift logic, torque handoff, launch behavior and neutral RPM.
  • Some requested behavior may be TCU-side.
  • ECU-only changes can miss the target.

CPC

  • Mercedes 2019+ CPC_NG torque, Vmax and vehicle strategy coordination.
  • Gen1, Gen2 and Gen3 support path must be checked.
  • Handled as a complete vehicle strategy.
